Memories of 13MAGNUS: Reawakens

Perhaps the most interesting thing to me about 13MAGNUS: Reawakens was how infectious (and I use that word intentionally) the energy was.

In the process of building the Tecthulhu, I saw a level of inspiration and inner strength that people have attribute to the Shapers and XM Portals, but rarely if ever exhibits itself on such a concentrated scale. It’s something that we know affects individuals — perhaps over great periods of time — to commit works of greatness. Sometimes we hear the stories of those who achieved powerful, single moments of epiphany. Much like a perfect storm, those moments seem to require the ideal sensitive in the ideal XM environment at the ideal time and place.

13MAGNUS: Reawakens was different. Masses of people were experiencing something powerful.No/ooNoVo/oNo/oooNooVoVoNoMo/oMNo/oMoM/oMoM/oM/ooVoVoNoMo/oMNo/oNo/oMoMMo/oooNooVoVoNoMo/oMMooVoNoo

I attribute this to the Tecthulhu modules. There’s a quote I’m fond of: “If you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you.” It’s meant to speak to something dark, but I suspect it could work the other way as well.

The Tecthulhu seek to reflect the intentions and spirit of their creators. Perhaps in doing so, they awaken something within those creators as well. For those who seek something light and beautiful, maybe that impulse is amplified.

That’s what it looked like to me, at least.wqx64nzx323tb
