This week, the Investigation has had two primary focal points: ADA and Susanna Moyer. Read my Weekly Wrap-up to learn what we uncovered and how it all might fit together. #InvestigateIngress
A look back at the final moments of Aegis Nova, and some thoughts on ADA’s fate. #InvestigateIngress
We’re about a week out from the last Aegis Nova Anomaly, and the final pieces are falling into place — focus sharpening onto their edges. I feel powerless to prevent what lies ahead. But you aren’t. If you’re on the ground in Tokyo, fight for what’s right. If you’re everywhere else in the world, do your part to help stabilize and resolve this increasingly volatile situation.
We’re about two weeks from the end of this and the final pieces are falling into place. Learn more in the Weekly Wrap-Up. #InvestigateIngress
Much of last week centered around Jahan’s goals for the second set of Aegis Nova Anomalies on June 25th, but in the end, those plans were dust. The Enlightened claimed the June 25th Anomalies by a large margin, and now Jahan’s only hope is to prevent the Enlightened from using the Tokyo XM Anomaly to launch their attack against the AI. With no weapon to use against Jarvis, the most she can hope for is to succeed on defensive grounds.
Just under one week remains until the next Aegis Nova Anomalies. I suspect when their dust settles we’ll know just who is on the offensive, who is on the defensive, and perhaps just how much more of a cost we are going to have to bear in this conflict.
We’re about two weeks out from the next Aegis Nova Anomalies, and a clearer picture of what’s at stake is beginning to emerge. Learn more in my Weekly Wrap-up.
I’ve spend most of this past week trying to follow up on the repercussions of the Enlightened victory at the first Aegis Nova Anomalies. What we knew going in was that the Acolyte wanted to use the XM energy generated by an Enlightened win to launch a plan against ADA. Jarvis was going to reach into Klue’s mind and find subconscious patterns left there by the AI. Those patterns, in theory, could be used to discover ADA’s weaknesses and develop an attack against her. Based on a few different pieces of information we found this week, it seems the plan was a success.
Yesterday, thousands of Agents joined forces around the world and fought to place their stamp on the future. I saw their pictures, I heard their stories… from Tainan, Rotterdam, Chiang Mai, Manila, St. Paul, Savannah, Cape Town.
They surrounded me in Brooklyn. I heard about their bike teams and their GORUCK victories. Their link-bursts, and their incredible shard strategies. The upsets and the moonshots and the pride in victory, resilience in loss.
But in truth, I was only thinking about one person the whole day. I was thinking about how the events of the day would affect her.
Momentum. That’s what this week has felt like to me. Behind closed doors, poring over every strategy and edge case, Agent leaders have been weighing the odds to try and claim victories on Saturday. In the shadows, the forces that we cover in our Investigation have been doing much the same. Everything is hurtling towards a decision point.
